SERVICE DELIVERY - You can mail or ship your SSD hard drive, USB Thumb Drive or SD Camera Card to us (if SSD drive has been removed from your computer), or we can pick up your device or SSD drive (or computer) at your location and return your recoved data and device or SSD drive (or computer) to your location for a $35 charge (within our local service area only). If you want technician to uninstall an SSD drive from a computer then additional charges (at $33/quarter hour) will apply, or the tech can pick up your computer and we will remove the SSD drive in our repair shop (no additional charge).
DIAGNOSTIC FEE - In order to determine the condition of your device or SSD hard drive and the recovery method required to recover your data a $50 non-refundable diagnostic fee (paid in advance) will be charged. This charge applies regardless of the condition of your device or drive and regardless of whether you choose to proceed with having your data recovered or not.
Level 1 (Local) Recovery - Applies only with SSD hard drives
that are Windows "boot" drives and are
not mechanically defective or physically damaged, but will not boot into
Windows (usually the result of a corrupt Windows operating system). If the
SSD drive can be viewed from Windows and/or the drive can be
"seen" by the computer (within BIOS or Windows), and the data is not corrupt,
then in many cases the data can be retrieved via a Level 1 recovery, which
does not require special data recovery software and can usually be done
during an on-site service call (normal on-site rates would apply). This
service recovers only data files (not your Windows OS or software programs). The cost of this service when
done "In Shop" is $99 in addition to the diagnostic fee detailed above and
does not include recovery media.
You can provide your own recovery media (a second hard drive, USB drive,
DVD-R, etc.) or we can provide recovery media for an extra charge. Call for
Level 2 (Local) Recovery - Applies when a device or SSD hard drive is not mechanically defective or physically damaged, but either the drive cannot be "seen" by the computer (or by Windows) or the data can be "seen" but not read by Windows, indicating that the data or file system is corrupt. This service requires special data recovery software which resides on a data recovery machine in our repair shop, so this service is not available during On-Site Service. The cost of this service is $249 in addition to the diagnostic fee detailed above and does not include recovery media. You can provide your own recovery media (a second hard drive, USB drive, DVD-R, etc.) or we can provide recovery media for an extra charge. Call for details.
Level 3 (Lab) Recovery - Applies to devices and SSD hard drives that are mechanically defective or physically damaged. If the device or SSD drive is mechanically defective or completely “dead” and cannot be “seen” by local recovery efforts then a Level 3 data recovery would be the only option for recovering the data. For Level 3 data recoveries we partner with File Savers, one of the leading data recovery services in the United States, allowing for an extremely high success rate in data recovery. Please note that Level 3 data recovery charges are based on recovering all salvagable files; "selective" data recovery of only certain files is not available. The cost of these recoveries does not include recovery media. You can provide your own recovery media (a second hard drive, USB drive, etc.) or we can provide recovery media (call for pricing).
